Either you’re here because you’ve booked a bridal appointment with us or you’ve already visited other boutiques with no success. No matter your experience shopping for plus-size wedding dresses in Jacksonville, FL, one thing is clear- we are confident that Curve is where you’ll say ‘YES’ to a wedding dress that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and sexy!

We understand that not many boutiques offer options for curvy brides, which is why Curve Bridal is solely dedicated to providing a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of gorgeous size-inclusive gowns to choose from.

You might have questions regarding sizing, so we’ve put together a guide to give you insight into how it works before you head in for your appointment.

And of course, don’t forget that our bridal consultants are here to help! Here’s what to expect when you come in.

When trying on wedding dresses…

At Curve, we carry 100+ wedding dress samples in sizes 18-34, so right off the bat, you don’t have to worry about being told to “imagine” what a dress looks like because only smaller sizes are available.

Your size is HERE- just come in with an open mind and we’ll take care of the rest. You may think that only flowy silhouettes flatter a curvy body type, but that couldn’t be further from the truth! Go on and try that form-fitting mermaid gown, you might be surprised!

We also use clips and panels to help fit dresses to your curves so you can get a realistic vision of how it will look after alterations.

When ordering your dress…

At Curve we’ve hand-picked our dresses from the same designers we carry at our sister boutiques. These dresses are designed in larger sizes for curvy brides, so you won’t see anything in a size less than 8.

We also carry all of your favorites, including Essense of Australia, All Who Wander, and Studio Levana, a plus-size wedding dress designer inspired by her own challenges of trying on dresses and wanted to make a change!

Here are a few other factors to keep in mind at your appointment...

  • While trying on wedding dresses, if you’re in-between sizes, we’ll always recommend ordering a size up, because it’s easier to take a dress in than it is to let out.

  • If you are planning on losing weight, let us know your goals! This will help us tailor your appointment accordingly. Remember that it’s difficult to know where you’ll lose inches from, as it’s inches-not weight- that’s important for the final fit.

  • You might’ve heard about split sizing. This is when a dress is made in one size for the top and another size for the skirt. We’ll recommend this when the option is available to save you time and energy when it comes to alterations.
